About me: I grew up in a small town from Buffalo, NY called Gowanda, which was not easy not knowing any English. We were a low-income family and the only Hispanic family in the whole town. Growing up there and having the experiences I lived helped me be who I am today.

I graduated from Gowanda Central High School in 1998. At Gowanda Central I was involved in many athletic groups. I was Captain of our Cheerleading Squad, and Track and Field team, I also played for our basketball team as a guard. In track and field, I set many school records for the hundredth meter hurdles, 400IH and 400 meter relay , which we were State Champions for the in 1998. I was also initiated this year into the hall of fame of my high school.

I graduated from Buffalo State College in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

I am a member of Sigma Lambda Upsilon Senoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc. Beta Chapter Buffalo, NY (Spring 1999).
